Would you sell our Superstar??

For what its worth, I think he is one of the best players in a West Ham shirt I've seen since I started supporting back in 1965.
Top Five anyway.
If someone came in for 60m with a 50m profit would you sell him??
I would frankly, as after this coming season he'll be the wrong side of 30.
I truly cannot see him resisting R.M or PSG.
Hope I'm wrong.

Don't want him to go and we and the PL have been a big part of his development into the player we are watching today. Like Tevez, if he moves on to bigger and better things there is a right way to do it. If he goes to Chelsea I would not be happy. But, not much any of us can do. He will always have a place in my heart though. Love the fella. COYI

The season before he joined we earned 73.3m prize money
Then he joined and we earn 85.6m from going up 5 places thanks to his involvement (over 30% involvement in our goals over the season wasn't it?) he also plays a part in a decent cup run which was televised a fair bit....and we are in europe
Top 5 finish is over £90 million, plus the revenue from cups including Europa...
We'd be mental not only to willingly sell the best players I've seen in our shirt (which I think I called that on a new thread after a few games and was mugged off for!) but to part with one of the best players in the world right now.
All the additional revenue he brings in prize money, TV money and whatever else...you'd be fucking bonkers.
People need to stop looking at the fact we got him for £10m and can make potentially £30-40 million profit....because his involvement last year alone was earned us a shit load with him in our shirt and not someone else's...

If he continues as he is Payet will win the Ballon D'Or next season.... they must be desperate to give it to someone other than Ronaldo & Messi, and in any case he would have earned it.
Just imagine a West Ham player going up to collect the Ballon D'Or!!!
We need to keep him at all costs, which (on a good day) I think we will.

Let's say 'we' (but remember it's not really us- it's Sully) sell him for sixty million pounds, the absolutely wildest dream sum we'd get for him.
We want to buy a thirty million pound striker (which we do anyway regardless of selling Dimi) and we have thirty million left over for other players. Sounds great, doesn't it?
But the thing is, that thirty million pound striker who was coming to 'a club on the up' with a new 'iconic stadium' suddenly sees that West Ham are STILL a team that sells its best players despite knowing full-well players who are more than just players, talismanic characters who make the whole team play better only come along once in fifteen or twenty years (if we're lucky).
If Dimi leaves it becomes a lot more difficult to attract better players. As it is now we can easily say to a world-class (or nearly world-class) striker 'imagine how good YOU will look on the world stage if Payet is spotting your runs and is putting the ball on your laces ten times a game? You are a great player now but how are you going to look in a season's time after you've took the Premier League by storm?'
Fucking hell, he makes his national team play better and how rare is that? The self-obcessed Ronaldo can't seem to do it. Even Messi struggles.
Sixty million would buy you lots of great players but you can only play them one at a time. It's not a case of 'the Spanish giant clubs can afford to buy him', rather that we can't afford to sell him. Not at this crucial stage in the history of West Ham.
No doubt (as I've read on here in the past) he's not that great because he lost the ball that led to Bournemouth's second' and shit like that (some on here didn't even think he was HOTY for fuck sake) but hopefully Sully gets a lot more of the big picture about Payet and someone who is perhaps even more important, Bilic and keeps them as close to the club as possible for as long as possible.
